BAROLO RISERVA 'MONVIGLIERO' CASTELLO DI VERDUNO 2017 DESCRIPTION

The Barolo Riserva "Monvigliero" by Castle of Verduno born in the homonymous hill, at 280 meters above sea level, with vineyards of fully exposed to the south. The exposure of the vineyard and the composition of the soil, predominantly white marl, make this micro-area one of the best of the entire territory of Barolo along with Cannubi.

And here comes the Barolo Riserva "Monvigliero", a Barolo Riserva which is distinguished by its delicate aromas and elegance that evolves over time giving new sensations and new emotions. The vintage of Barolo Riserva "Monvigliero" by Castle of Verduno is manual, and the maceration is carried out with regular punching down for 30 days; we are faced with a Barolo Riserva is aged for 30 months in large oak barrels, 1 month in stainless steel tanks and 40 months in bottle before release.

We are faced with a Barolo Riserva "Monvigliero" that occurs in the eyes with a beautiful ruby red color; that gives the interesting nose of red fruit aromas which evolve towards spices, with a nice hint of cinnamon. The tannins are soft and appealing, texture and freshness are remarkable.
