The Collio Bianco of Castellada is a white Friulian surprising, that embodies all the excellence of ponka, that substrate marl typical Oslavia; a feature that last outpost of Italy can give rise to wines of great structure and freshness, even in years hottest. An unfiltered wine, which comes from a cellar with a recent history. We are in 1985 when the brothers George and Nicolò Bensa decide to bottle their wine family; to the project, in 2009, are also added Stefano and Matteo, the children of Nicolò. As mentioned a few lines above talking about the land from which it originated the Collio Bianco of Castellada, we are in Oslavia, in Collio, on hills located at 180 meters above sea level, in a terroir that enjoys a unique microclimate for ventilation and excursion Thermal. The philosophy of Castellada is one that fascinates: strictly manual harvest, destemmed grapes and fermentation started with only indigenous yeasts, contact time with the skins also important for whites and aging in wood in contact with the yeast fermentation. And this is the philosophy that reigns in this beautiful corner of Italy, the birthplace of the Collio Bianco of Castellada, fruit of Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Sauvignon.
