La Caneva's Bianco 'Indisena' is a fresh and lively white wine from the Veneto region, produced by a company close to Venice. The grapes undergo a short pellicular maceration that gives it a bright and lively colour. Clear notes of sage, citrus and candied yellow fruit emerge on the nose, crowned by a herbaceous finish reminiscent of an herbal infusion. The palate is dynamic and complex, with a perfect balance of freshness, tanginess and a slight bitter note. Ideal with grilled salmon accompanied by herb sauces
The family-run La Caneva di Giancarlo presents Bianco 'Indisena', a white wine macerated on the skins with a strong character. Alongside local grape varieties, the Botter family, owners of the La Caneva di Giancarlo winery, breed some international varieties, including Chardonnay. In addition to the unquestionably high quality of the wines it gives rise to, Chardonnay stands out for its remarkable oenological plasticity, a characteristic that makes it possible to successfully produce sparkling wines, semi-sparkling wines and white wines macerated on the skins. Other outstanding attributes of this grape variety include its elegant acidity and citrus and tropical fruit aromas. Furthermore, Chardonnay is a grape that is strongly influenced by the climate and soil of the areas where it is grown, managing to 'absorb' the nature of the terroir like few others. The Bianco 'Indisena' was launched on the market in 2022 in the wake of a production vision aimed at minimising environmental impact, enhancing the most authentic characteristics of the grape and the terroir.
Giancarlo's Caneva 'Indisena' Bianco comes from a white grape variety cultivated without the use of herbicides, insecticides and chemical fertilisers. Manual harvesting is followed by spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with pellicular maceration, carried out only by the yeasts present on the grapes and in the vinification environment. Invasive clarification and filtration operations are then excluded throughout the entire process, with maximum respect for the wine's purity.
On visual examination, the Bianco 'Indisena' from the Veneto winery La Caneva di Giancarlo has an intense golden yellow colour. The nose evokes hints of ripe fruit, macerated flowers, citrus fruits and almonds, sensations that are echoed on the palate along with good body and overall structure, with pleasant freshness and an elegant savoury trail to complement it. On the finish, the fruity and citrus perceptions previously perceived on the nose return.
