Sa Defenza's Bianco 'Sacava sulle Bucce' is an orange-style wine, produced by a Sardinian winery that is always able to impress with its indigenous varieties. 'Sa Cava' means 'the quarry' in Sardinian, a tribute to the mining activity that was very common near the winery in the past. Production follows minimal intervention and the white grapes follow a long maceration process that helps to strengthen this full-bodied wine. The nose recounts the island's landscape with notes of Mediterranean scrub and ripe fruit, the sip, warm and intense, is nevertheless lively and taut, with great persistence
