'BOCCA DI ROSA' TABARRINI 2023 DESCRIPTION

Tabarrini's "Bocca di Rosa" succeeds in a mission, at least on paper, a difficult one, namely to present Montefalco's native red grape variety par excellence, Sagrantino, in an innovative rosé version that captivates right down to its color, which is vibrant and luminous. A challenge that Giampaolo, owner of the winery, seized on, driven as always by a desire to try his hand at new stimuli. A bottle where aromas of great personality and a flowing sip move on a mineral texture, which confirms all the great craftsmanship of the winery in working Sagrantino, enhancing its more jaunty aspects.

The Tabarrini winery makes this Umbria IGT "Bocca di Rosa," starting with Sagrantino. A vine of great personality which grows in vineyards located at an elevation of about 360 meters above sea level, characterized by a subsoil where silt and clay are predominant. The grapes, after careful manual harvesting, are vinified in white, carrying out the alcoholic fermentation in steel, thanks to the use of indigenous yeasts; then comes the aging phase, carried out for 3 months in steel, and, after bottling, for an equal number of months in the bottle.

"Bocca di Rosa" from Tabarrini winery presents itself to the eyes with a bright pink, intense and flamboyant. The aromas on the nose express deep notes, where it is the red fruit that manifests itself first, to then leave room for light mineral and herbal nuances. The palate is full-bodied, perfectly balanced, with a delicate and fresh sip that makes use of excellent minerality. An original and fascinating label, dedicated to all those who, loving Sagrantino madly, can't wait to taste it in a new and satisfying guise.
