Box Prosecco Valdobbiadene 'Prior' Bortolomiol (2bt)

The Venetian family-run company Bortolomiol introduces the Box Prosecco Valdobbiadene 'Prior', a box that highlights the far-sightedness of the Bortolomiol family, among the first in the 1960s to produce a Prosecco Brut, in contrast to the traditional Extra Dry. The terms 'Brut' and 'Extra Dry', as well as 'Extra Brut' and 'Dry', refer to the residual sugar content in the sparkling wine. In particular, the term 'Brut' indicates that the wine has a residual sugar content of less than 12 g/l, with a consequently more or less dry taste, where sweetness may be nil or only vaguely perceptible. On the other hand, the term 'Extra Dry', a type widely used in earlier times, indicates that the sparkling wine has a residual sugar content of 12 to 17 g/l, resulting in a slightly sweet taste.

The Valdobbiadene Box Prosecco 'Prior' is a Bortolomiol pack that contains two bottles of Bortolomiol's Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore 'Prior', a bubbly with a delicate and fragrant aroma reminiscent of green apples and citrus fruits, and a clean and refreshing taste. This Prosecco originates exclusively from Glera grapes cultivated in the hills of the Valdobbiadene area, vinified in white by means of soft pressing and subsequent prise de mousse in autoclave according to the Martinotti Method. The sparkling wine is finally bottled under isobaric conditions with a residual sugar content of 8 g/l, in the Brut category therefore.

Bortolomiol's Valdobbiadene Prosecco 'Prior' Box is an ideal box for lovers of Proseccos of the Brut type, which are fresher and more vertical than their Extra Dry counterparts, and perfect as an aperitif paired with seafood appetisers, fresh cheeses or assorted crostini.
