BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO 'TENUTA NUOVA' CASANOVA DI NERI 2019 DESCRIPTION

Casanova di Neri's Brunello di Montalcino "Tenuta Nuova" is a label born of the desire to offer a Brunello capable of expressing elegance and power, combined with a pleasant immediacy of drinking. An area with special characteristics was thus identified, capable of producing Sangiovese Grosso grapes of remarkable richness and ripeness. The result is a refined and complex red, which gives delicate floral aromas fruity aromas, accompanied by notes of tertiary evolution, offering an exciting, intense and persistent drinking experience.

"Tenuta Nuova" Brunello di Montalcino is a label that is part of the elite of the great reds of the Montalcino area. Casanova di Neri can count on vocated soils, fine exposures and a passion for great wines. The vineyards were created with high planting density, with vines from a mass selection of the best plants from the Carralto vineyard. The 55 hectares of the estate are divided into five plots: Pietradonica, Centine, Cerretalto, Fiesole and Podernuovo, each expressing different facets of terroir by altitude, exposure, microclimate and soils. A small mosaic from which to wisely draw to create wines of great complexity and expressive balance.

Casanova di Neri's "Tenuta Nuova" is a Brunello di Montalcino that is made from a selection of grapes that come from three estate parcels: the Fiesole and Poderuccio vineyards are located to the northeast and are characterized by stony soils of marl: the Podernuovo vineyard faces east and is the highest, at 450 meters (1,000 feet) above sea level. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in truncated steel and wood vats, with a maceration period on the skins of about 24 days. The wine matures for 36 months in oak barrels and finishes ageing for 12 months in a bottle. It is ruby red in colour with garnet highlights. The bouquet offers floral nuances of violets, aromas of morello cherries, red berries, hints of herbs and balsamic touches. The sip is long and intense, with a dense tannic texture and a beautiful flavour progression, pleasantly accompanying toward a refreshing finish.
