CABERNET SAUVIGNON 'NONO MIGLIO' BOSCO DEL MERLO 2023 DESCRIPTION

The Cabernet Sauvignon "Nono Miglio" red wine is a tribute that the Bosco del Merlo winery pays to the place where it is located. In fact, Annone Veneto takes its name from the ninth milestone placed on the Postumia consular road, called 'ad nonum lapidem'. A wine, therefore, that recounts the ancient origins of the land where the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grow, which, at each harvest, are always healthy and rich in aromas that give an ample bouquet, where pleasant herbaceous notes stand out, opening up to a sip on the palate with excellent personality.

This Cabernet Sauvignon "Nono Miglio" originates from the grapes of the international red grape variety, which, especially in the eastern part of the Veneto region, finds one of its preferred terroirs. This variety is cultivated by Bosco del Merlo in vineyards where yields are kept voluntarily low, where careful management of the greenery is in force and each grape manages to reach optimum phenolic ripeness thanks to organic management. The must, obtained from pressing the grapes, ferments at a controlled temperature of 25 degrees, macerating for about 18-20 days. We then proceed with the ageing phase, in which the wine is left to rest for several months in both wood and steel.

The "Nono Miglio" Cabernet Sauvignon presents itself to the eye with a ruby red colour, with a brilliant and clear shade. The range of aromas that can be perceived on the nose recalls mainly herbaceous sensations, also enhanced by more fruity touches. The taste is medium-bodied, with a sip of character, incisive and enveloping on the palate thanks to a delicate softness. A label with which the Bosco del Merlo cellar allows us to pair perfectly with red and white meats cooked with various preparations.
