Capo Martino is a white wine rich and important, made from the main grape varieties grown in Friuli and aged in oak barrels for 12 months. It has a striking aromatic personality, enlivened by hints of exotic fruit, lime and apple, with mineral undertones. The sip is fresh and overwhelming, with citrusy and very pleasant drinking
Capo Martino of Jermann winery is an amazing wine adventure, where the Tocai Friulano is starring in a show along with fellow Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana and Picolit grapes. It takes its name from the hill Capo Martino, where the Jermann family have their vineyards which in 1991 gave rise to what the heirs of Anton Jermann christened as the "Little Dream, to a promised land", a wine in honor of the founder of the winery that just one hundred years before performed a trip leaving from Collio Sloveno to Villanova. The wine “Piccolo Sogno” (little dream) was the spokesman of the ancient craftsmanship and traditional knowledge that permeate the gastronomic knowledge of Friuli region. The choice of using Ribolla Gialla and withered Tocai was easy for the great-grandchildren of Anton Jermann, because these are local wine grapes, symbol of tradition and expression of the desire to create a wine that represented the culture of this ancient terroir. This thought is embodied today by the bottles of Capo Martino, a beautiful white wine, winner of the most prestigious titles of world wine, designed as the successor to the Piccolo Sogno for his ability to communicate the soul of Friuli, sip by sip, without words. A terroir in the glass, able to charm us with vibrant golden glow and make us fall in love with nuance of distant memories of tropical fruit, such as fresh lime sweet as the scent of ripe fruit. With matchless verve, Capo Martino tells the flavors of a past world, softened by an excellent work in the cellar. The palate of Capo Martino is amazing, hovering gracefully like silk, without ever losing its remarkable freshness. Just like spring water, it is mineral and savory. An excellent white wine: Capo Martino of Jermann winery has pleasantly enchanted us.
