CARTIZZE DRY ADAMI DESCRIPTION

Adami's Cartizze Dry is produced in Colbertado di Vidor in the province of Treviso, in the Valdobbiadene DOCG area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site from 2019. The winery has historical origins: in 1920, grandfather Abele Adami purchased from Count Balbi Velier a vineyard naturally arranged as an amphitheatre that was soon separated from all the others because it was considered to have special and different characteristics; in August 1933, the first wine was presented. The Adami family has now managed these lands for three generations: Adriano Adami has decided to continue his father's work, constantly renewing and controlling the quality of the product; Armando and Francesco today have, on the other hand, focused on a technical specialization of the machinery to modernize winemaking and sparkling winemaking, all aimed, so that their business can be futuristic.

The vineyards of Adami's Cartizze Dry are located on the hills of the municipalities of Valdobbiadene, Vidor and Fatta di Solito at an elevation between 180 and 300 meters above sea level. The soil is composed mainly of moraine stone, clay, and limestone, often dry and shallow. The climate is temperate with cold winters and hot but not sultry summers; substantial rainfall occurs between June and November, then in minimal amounts between January and August. The harvest takes place between the end of September and the first ten days of October; in the cellar, soft pressing occurs with pneumatic pressure; the must decant statically and then ferments thanks to the action of indigenous yeasts. It is aged on the noble lees in steel for three months.

The colour of Adami's Cartizze Dry is a straw yellow with intense reflections, while the mousse is thick and the perlage fine and persistent. The aromas are reminiscent of ripe yellow-fleshed fruit such as yellow apple, peach and exotic fruit in combination with notes of wisteria and acacia flowers. On the palate, it is soft, enveloping and delicate, with good final persistence for a curious drink. Excellent paired with smoked salmon appetizers, shellfish and crustaceans as a condiment to pasta dishes; also interesting with dry pastries, fluffy cakes, pandoro and panettone. Perfect for accompanying aperitifs between work colleagues and friends during the holiday season, sipping in the glass a product that is the result of careful work and experience.
