CARTIZZE DRY RUGGERI DESCRIPTION

Ruggeri's Cartizze Dry is produced in the Valdobbiadene area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019. The history of the winery dates back to the 1920s, when Eliseo Bisol took his first steps in the world of viticulture by building his first cellar. In 1950, the Ruggeri brand was born thanks to his nephew Giustino, who worked tirelessly to make the winery one of the top producers in the area, distinguished by the excellent quality of its products. Today, Giustino's son Paolo and his daughter Isabella successfully manage the century-old family business with an eye toward the future and innovation.

The Glera grapes used in Ruggeri's Cartizze Dry grow on the Cartizze hill between 200 and 300 meters above sea level. The south/southeast exposure is excellent for ensuring that the grapes reach full maturity at the time of harvest, and the predominantly rocky soil ensures low yields in the vineyard for a rare finesse and elegance in the final product. Harvest time is usually in the first days of September, and the grapes are harvested manually. In the winery, the grapes are processed without the skins and according to the dictates of the Charmat Method. The wine then undergoes a secondary fermentation in autoclave.

At sight, Ruggeri's Cartizze Dry appears straw-yellow with bright reflections and a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, notes of ripe yellow-fleshed fruit such as yellow apple and summer white flowers such as wisteria blend with classic aromas of freshly baked bread crust. On the palate, it is creamy and enveloping, excellently balanced by a good final freshness that encourages drinking. It pairs well with spoon desserts, panettone, small dry pastries, and sweet focaccia; it is also interesting with cow's milk cheeses and delicate foie gras. This wine is perfect for special occasions or family celebrations, allowing you to share a wine conceived with passion and experience to taste all the goodness of an Italian territory envied all over the world.

Perfect for charmat method sparkling wines, because the narrow cup with bottom tip facilitates the development of perlage without dispersing the bubbles and the narrow opening helps the concentration of aromas, which do not need a lot of oxygenation to be enhanced
