Les Cretes' Chambave Moscato is a lightly macerated white wine produced from an icon of the Aosta Valley. Made from fragrant Muscat grapes harvested over 500 metres above sea level, this is a dry, full-bodied and intense version, rich in typical aromatic hints such as white fruit, flowers and sage. With its mineral taste and pronounced freshness, it goes well with seafood risotto, white meat dishes or blue cheeses

The Chambave Moscato from the Les Cretes estate in the Aosta Valley is a dry white wine characterized by rich and sweet aromatic scents. The Chambave subzone, named after the small village located 20 kilometers east of the regional capital Aosta, is part of the Valle d’Aosta denomination and represents an ideal area for Moscato Bianco, which here produces some of the most interesting wines in the entire region. In fact, the locality has been renowned since the 15th century for its Moscato, traditionally vinified as passito as well as in its dry version. This was exported to neighboring France, where it was appreciated even at the royal court. This is evidenced by a document reporting that in 1494, Giorgio di Challant, a French cleric and patron, offered Chambave Moscato Passito to King Charles VIII of France.
The Moscato Chambave Les Cretes is made exclusively from Moscato Bianco grapes grown at an altitude of about 500 meters above sea level on steep terraces. Following the harvest, the grapes are immediately transferred to the cellar, where they are vinified through a brief skin maceration and alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine then matures on fine lees in steel for 5 months, after which it is bottled and further rested in glass before being released to the market.
In appearance, the Chambave Moscato from Les Cretes reveals a light, bright straw-yellow hue. The aromatic bouquet is defined by fascinating varietal notes reminiscent of white peach, honeysuckle, lemon zest, sage, and thyme, enriched by a refined and subtle mineral vein. The taste is fresh and pleasantly savory, crisp and very fragrant, with a dry and juicy finish that invites further sips.
