CHAMBAVE SUPERIEUR 'QUATRE VIGNOBLES' LA CROTTA DI VEGNERON 2021 DESCRIPTION

The Valle d'Aosta cooperative winery La Crotta di Vegneron introduces Chambave Superieur 'Quatre Vignobles,' a bottle characterized by intense fruity and spicy aromas, the result of a blend of black grape varieties. This label belongs to the 'Selections' line, designed to enhance the exceptional aptitude of the most vocated viticultural areas cultivated by the contributing members. The appellation 'Quatre Vignobles,' literally "four vineyards," highlights how this wine comes from a blend of grapes from four different plots, heterogeneous in terms of geological and climatic characteristics, cultivated with agronomic standards aimed at obtaining an expression of superior quality.

Vegneron's Chambave Superieur 'Quatre Vignobles' La Crotta is made from at least 70% Petit Rouge grapes, combined with varieties such as Fumin, Syrah and other native or traditional varieties. The vines are grown at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level within the municipalities of Chambave, Châtillon and Verrayes on sandy soils of morainic origin. In the winery, alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with about 20 days of maceration on the skins. Once the fermentation process is complete, the mass ages for 12 months between oak tonneau and stainless steel tanks and finally, after blending, bottling and an additional 5 months' rest in the glass, the wine is ready for release.

The 'Quatre Vignobles' Chambave Superieur from the Aosta Valley winery La Crotta di Vegneron has a deep, consistent ruby red colour with violet hints. The nose expands on vivid and complex floral, fruity and spicy notes reminiscent of violet, raspberry, currant and vanilla, combined with hints of leather. Dry and appropriately warm on the palate, with a pleasant tannic feel supported by good freshness and structure.
