The Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is one of the most prestigious Champagnes in the world, often referred to by the French themselves as the highest expression of the production area, also strong with an ancient history that makes the Ruinart house one of the most renowned Maisons in France. It was the year 1729 when Nicolas Ruinart, grandson of the very famous Benedictine monk Dom Ruinart, founded the famous Maison. Since then, it has been an escalation of success due to many factors, ranging from the choice of land and vineyards to the design of the bottles, to the continuous search for the highest quality of its products.
Champagne Blanc de Blancs Ruinart is a pure Chardonnay, grown between the territories of Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims, only from Premiers Crus. This grape variety is the true soul of this bottle, perfectly reflecting its harmony. Almost as if it were the quintessence of the Maison, which basically bases its production on these grapes for all the most important blends. Every operation is meticulously and scrupulously executed to perfection, from harvest to vinification. Twenty to 25 percent of the blend consists of Chardonnay reserves from the previous two vintages. The bottles are stored in the spectacular chalk cellars, the crayères, which reach up to 25 meters underground and spend 36 months on the lees
With its fresh aromas, liveliness and purity, Chardonnay gives Champagne Blanc de Blancs Ruinart a unique aromatic richness, with fresh notes of wild fruit and sweet wood, with fresh hints of citrus. It is a Champagne golden and luminous to the eye, enhanced by a perfect perlage. The palate is creamy, balanced and fresh, round and enveloping. A great classic of the exclusive world of Champagne, a world in which Ruinart plays a leading role.
