Champagne Brut BdB 'Dom Ruinart' Magnum Ruinart 2007 (Confezione)

The Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut “Dom Ruinart” is a flagship champagne by Ruinart, one of the oldest ‘maison’ of Reims and of all Champagne. As typical in the region, when a wine bears the name of its founder, we find ourselves in front of a masterpiece in class and elegance. The Blanc de Blancs Ruinart is a fantastic expression of the chalky terroir, with an incredibly refined bouquet of flowers, sweet spices and mineral scents… a perfume that encounters gastronomic hints of hazelnut, patisserie and coffee on the finish. To the palate it is persistent, fine and fresh, the finish is a symbol of elegance with typical effervescence and bitter sip, pleasant and refined.

CHAMPAGNE BRUT BDB 'DOM RUINART' MAGNUM RUINART 2007 (CONFEZIONE) DESCRIPTION

The 'Dom Ruinart' Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs represents the pinnacle of the Ruinart house style, the oldest Champagne Maison, founded in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart. This prestigious label pays homage to Nicolas’ uncle, the visionary Benedictine monk Dom Thierry Ruinart, who laid the groundwork for the winery's creation in the late 1600s and early 1700s. It was Dom Thierry who guided Nicolas on the path to producing the wine that was so fashionable in Paris at the time, though it had yet to be called "Champagne."
The Champagne Ruinart Brut Blanc de Blancs 'Dom Ruinart' is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes sourced from Grand Cru villages in the Côte des Blancs, such as Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, as well as vineyards in the Montagne de Reims. The harvest is carried out by hand, and the winemaking takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the varietal aromas and freshness. The full malolactic fermentation softens the wine's taste. After secondary fermentation in the bottle, the sparkling wine ages on the lees for nine long years until disgorgement, performed by hand, with a final dosage of 5 g/L residual sugar.
In the glass, the 'Dom Ruinart' Blanc de Blancs Brut Champagne by Ruinart displays a golden yellow hue with emerald reflections and a fine, elegant perlage. Its deep and refined aromatic profile opens with pronounced mineral notes of flint, chalk, and oyster shell, soon joined by hints of jasmine, citrus, acacia blossom, mace, nutmeg, and toasted hazelnut, as well as nuances of coffee, licorice, and blond tobacco on the finish. On the palate, the initial creaminess and softness give way to a sharp, fresh-salty energy that defines a tense progression with exceptional citrus persistence and an elegantly bitter finish.
