CHAMPAGNE BRUT 'CUVÉE SAINT-PETERSBOURG' VEUVE CLICQUOT DESCRIPTION

Veuve Clicquot's Brut Champagne "Cuvée Saint-Petersbourg" perfectly represents the House's style in its most classic interpretation of the terroir and savoir-faire of a legendary Champagne signature. The label was created to recall the resourcefulness of Madame Clicquot, who, as early as the early 19th century, was already exporting her prestigious bottles to Russia, as a pioneer and creator of a veritable business empire of global character. Even today, the brand is among the most famous in the world and represents a guarantee of excellence for all enthusiasts. The long aging on yeasts gives the wine an extraordinary richness and aromatic complexity, which is well matched by a clear mineral freshness.
The "Cuvée Saint-Petersbourg" is a Brut Champagne from one of Champagne's most famous Maisons. Veuve Clicquot was founded in 1772 and today owns one of the most prestigious estates, which covers a total of 390 hectares, divided between Montagne de Reims, Vallée de La Marne, Côte des Blancs and Côte des Bars. The property is divided into 280,000 parcels, 96 percent of which are classified as Grand Cru or Premier Cru. The vineyards are planted 47% with Chardonnay, 36% with Pinot Noir and 17% with Meunier. The cuvée comes from a selection of grapes from 50-60 plots, with a predominance of Pinot Noir, which gives structure and expressive depth, complemented by Chardonnay and Meunier. At the end of the first fermentation, a percentage of 30-45% of reserve wines are added to the wines of the vintage, giving the blend maturity and complexity. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Champenoise method, with a stay sur lattes of 4 or 5 years.
The Brut "Cuvée Saint-Petersbourg," from the famous Maison Veuve Clicquot, is a Champagne of great aromatic intensity and freshness. It is a bottle that perfectly illustrates the classic and traditional character of a brand that helped create the myth of Champagne. In the goblet, it is a beautiful bright and brilliant gold color, traversed by a very fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet is marked by fruity aromas of peach, mirabelle plum, pear, hints of citrus peel, notes of vanilla, small pastries and dried fruit. Harmonious and rich, it has a fine aromatic facet that translates into a long, deep sip that anticipates a finish of lively freshness.
