CHAMPAGNE BRUT GRANDE RESERVE MAGNUM POTEL-PRIEUX DESCRIPTION

The "Grande Reserve" Magnum Brut is the most representative and symbolic Champagne of the small and historic Maison Potel Prieux. We are located in the easternmost part of the Vallée de La Marne department, one of the most vocated areas of the historic French bubbly region, more precisely near the village of Venteuil, overlooking the north bank of the famous river. Francois Potel carries on a production of a centuries-old tradition, which began way back in 1640, and which today is confirmed as one of the most appreciated in the area by virtue of a constant high standard of quality. This Sans Annèe is a prime example because, in addition to being produced in a classic style that sees the blending of the best cuvées of the three most famous local varieties, such as Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, it impeccably sums up the winery's unmistakable style, based on territorial expressiveness and the pursuit of excellence.

The Magnum "Grande Reserve" Champagne belongs to the "L'Istant Precieux" line, created as the first appetizer to overlook the fantastic world of Potel-Prieux. The vineyards, as confirmed by the HVE (Haute Valeur Environmentale) certification, are cared for with the utmost respect for the environment, using minimal chemicals and thus promoting the biodiversity and vitality of the land. Grapes are harvested by hand, gently pressed in the cellar and stored as base-reserve wines. Blending goes through the hands of the chef de cave, who brings the different cuvées together like pieces of a puzzle to give rise to a harmonious and unique result. The Grand Reserve is made from a blend of Pinot Noir 50%, Chardonnay 30% and Pinot Meunier 20%, dosed with a gentle residual sugar (10 g/L) and aged on the fine lees in the bottle for about 20 months.

The Brut "Grand Reserve" is a revelatory Magnum Champagne that, also considering its enviable value for money, becomes a perfect gift idea for many bubbly enthusiasts. Under its creamy and soft perlage, it tells a pleasant and delicate olfactory profile, composed of citrus notes, floral hints, hints of bread crust and chalky nuances that recall the land of origin. On the palate, it is modulated by a vibrant mineral freshness balanced by a pleasant sugar dosage that makes the sip agile, taut and elegant. History, tradition and terroir in a sip through a Magnum format for great events!
