CHAMPAGNE BRUT NATURE 'LA VIGNE D'OR' TARLANT 2006 DESCRIPTION

The Champagne Brut Nature 'La Vigne d'Or' from the Tarlant cellar is a vintage Blanc de Noirs, made from vines over 50 years old grown in the Vallée de la Marne region, on a small estate of ancient origins. Today, the Tarlant family continues to cultivate the vines and make wine with passion and attention to micro-territories, giving birth to a bubble of rare elegance, capable of conveying, like few others, the magnificence and luxury that great French bubbles can touch.

Tarlant's 'La Vigne d'Or' Champagne is made solely from Pinot Meunier red grapes grown on soils rich in chalk and clay. Fertilisation is carried out solely with vegetable and organic substances that favour the proliferation of ecosystems, keeping the vineyard alive. The bunches are harvested by hand when perfectly ripe to obtain juicy and tasty fruit. Fermentation takes place in barriques with a period of almost eight months on the fine lees. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method with manual disgorgement without the addition of sugar. Ageing lasts 96 months on fine lees.

The 'La Vigne d'Or' livens up the flute with a deep amber colour and a fine, creamy perlage. The nose is stimulated by hints of bakery, cream and dried fruit, accompanied by fresher aromas of citrus fruits, cooked fruits such as apple and pear, and light mineral undertones. The sip is taut and compact, lashingly elegant. Juiciness and spiciness fill the palate and lend freshness to the liquid. A surprising bottle with great minerality, to be opened on the best occasions and in combination with great dishes such as those of refined French cuisine. A great expression of territoriality that materialises in a bold, majestic and prestigious style, capable of uniting power with elegance, velvety softness with dynamic freshness in one sip. A magical and exciting poem!
