CHAMPAGNE BRUT PREMIER CRU 'TRADITION' LALLEMENT MASSONNOT DESCRIPTION

The Champagne Brut Premier Cru "Tradition" is the cuvée that best exemplifies the classic style of Lallement Massonnot. It serves as a true calling card for the Maison, providing an excellent introduction to its more complex and prestigious Champagnes. Crafted with a well-balanced blend primarily dominated by Meunier, complemented by Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, it presents a soft and fruity sip in the glass. It is rich and expansive, culminating in a lively freshness on the finish. This label is particularly well-suited for enjoying as an aperitif or pairing with appetizers, as well as simple seafood dishes with delicate flavors.

The Premier Cru "Tradition" is a Brut Champagne from Lallement Massonnot, a historic Maison in the Montagne de Reims region that has cultivated vineyards in these lands for over a century. After selling grapes to the Courmas cooperative for many decades, the family decided to start producing Champagne under their own label in 1981. The estate spans 5 hectares, divided into numerous parcels, mostly classified as Premier Cru. The vineyards are located in the municipalities of Coulommes-la-Montagne, Pargny-lès-Reims, Saint-Euphrasie, and Gueux. Harvesting is done manually, and the grapes are pressed and vinified separately by grape variety and parcel. After several months of aging, the final blend is created, and the second fermentation takes place in the bottle using the Champagne method, with a minimum lees ageing of 36 months.

The Champagne Premier Cru Brut "Tradition" from Maison Lallement Massonnot is the ideal choice for those who prefer a soft and fruity taste, with a broad and rich profile characteristic of Meunier-based cuvées. It has a straw-yellow color with a fine and continuous effervescence. The bouquet captivates with aromas of white flowers, hints of citrus, notes of white-fleshed fruit, tobacco peach, and subtle nuances of bread crust. Smooth and creamy, it has a pleasantly harmonious and fruity palate entry, leading to a savoury and very fresh finish.
