Champagne Extra Brut Grand Cru Oger 'Original' Vauversin

The Champagne Extra Brut Grand Cru Oger 'Original' Vauversin is a delicate French bubbly, made from Chardonnay from a small winery in Cote des Blancs. The nose expresses a fine and fragrant bouquet, where floral and fruity notes of jasmine and white peach meet citrusy hints and pleasant aromas of almond and brioche bread on the finish. The sip is crisp, fresh and smooth, supported by a soft, creamy mousse. The perfect champagne to drink with a plateau of raw fish during an aperitif!

CHAMPAGNE EXTRA BRUT GRAND CRU OGER 'ORIGINAL' VAUVERSIN DESCRIPTION

Vauversin's Champagne Extra-Brut Grand Cru Oger "Original" was born in a small Maison of Recoltant Manipulant, which can boast centuries of experience in the elaboration of great Champagnes. The label is a refined Blanc de Blancs that perfectly represents the face of the Maison, its privileged geographical location in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, the cradle of the region's greatest Chardonnays. It is the ideal bottle for those who love the delicate purity of the limpid mineral freshness typical of the terroir of Oger. A Champagne of great class, characterised by floral aromas and fruity aromas of great finesse and elegance.

"Original" Champagne Extra-Brut Grand Cru is the fruit of the ancient savoir-faire of a historical Maison. The origins of the domaine Oger Vauversin go back as far as the mid-1700s. Until the beginning of the 20th century, the estate sold grapes and then began bottling its own. The property extends over only 3 hectares, divided into several parcels, located in the Grand Cru of Oger, Avize and Le-Mesnil-sur-Oger. The Chardonnay grapes come exclusively from the Grand Cru of Oger, one of the most famous in the Côte des Blancs. The individual plots are vinified separately in order to bring out the character of each terroir. The best grapes are pressed very gently, and the must flower ferments spontaneously using only indigenous yeasts. After a short period of ageing, the base wines are blended to create the definitive cuvée, which re-ferments in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method with a sur lies of at least 24 months.

Vauversin's Extra Brut Grand Cru Oger 'Original' is a Champagne made from pure Chardonnay that offers an excellent taste experience, condensing all the best characteristics of a legendary Grand Cru. In the goblet, it is light and luminous straw yellow in colour, with a very fine and persistent perlage. The olfactory profile is characterised by aromas of white orange blossom, lemon peel, grapefruit, white peach, nuances of Mirabelle plum, small pastries, almonds and dried fruit. Harmonious and rich, it presents a creamy and ample, long and intense flavour, well balanced by a vibrant freshness, savoury and mineral.
