The Champagne "Pierre Henri" is a Pinot Meunier blanc de noirs from old vines: an intense, full-bodied Champagne, vinified in barrique and aged for at least 96 months on the lees in the bottle. Toasted and mineral notes of ripe fruit, candied fruit and brioche emerge from a powerful, rich and expressive aromatic texture

Maison Jacky Charpentier's Champagne Extra Brut "Pierre Henri" is an unusual Blanc de Noirs made from pure Meunier, a grape variety almost always used in blends with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The excellent quality of the grapes, careful vinification and a long ageing period on the lees give a very intense, broad and persistent sip that pays tribute to the fruity richness and pleasant softness typical of this grape. Its aromatic complexity makes it an excellent gastronomic Champagne, which finds its right place at the table with an important fish menu or with white meats.
"Pierre Henri" Pinot Meunier Extra Brut Champagne is produced by a Maison that has been handing down valuable traditional savoir-faire for several generations. Jacky Charpentier owns numerous properties, mainly in the Valle de la Marne and the Montagne de Reims area. The estate comprises about sixty parcels in the fine terroirs of: Villers sous Chatillon, Avenay Val d'Or, Binson-Orquigny, Reuil, Boursault, Chatillon sur Marne, Ludes, Mareuil le Port, Oeuilly, Chavot Courcourt, Reuil, Verneuil, Festigny and Neuville sur Seine. Agronomic management is carried out with respect for nature, and the Maison is HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certified. The cuvée comes from Meunier grapes from old vines over 50 years old, located in the communal territories of Reuil et Châtillon sur Marne. After soft pressing, the must ferments in French oak barrels and the base wines are aged a few months in wood. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle using the Champenoise Method and rests on the lees for at least 60 months.
The Extra Brut of Pinot Meunier "Pierre Henri," produced by the Maison Jacky Charpentier, is an emblematic Champagne, which allows one to appreciate the authentic face of Meunier in its limpid expressive purity. To the eye, it is rather an intense yellow in colour with faint golden reflections. The perlage is of great finesse, subtle and continuous. Rich and generous, it expresses the aromas of ripe white-fleshed fruit, hints of dried fruit, vanilla, small pastries and candied citrus peel. The sip is broad and creamy, harmonious and satisfying. The finish is balanced, long, fresh and very persistent.
