CHAMPAGNE BRUT 'R' MAGNUM RUINART DESCRIPTION

Champagne Brut "R" Magnum from the famous Maison Ruinart is a charming label made with a majority proportion of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and a small balance of Meunier. It is an elegant and harmonious Champagne that perfectly interprets the Ruinart style. Ageing for at least 36 months on the lees allows the wine to mature slowly, enriching its broad aromatic spectrum with elegant evolutionary notes. Floral and fruity aromas are blended with soft notes of pastry, hints of bread crust and crisp mineral sensations.

"R" by Ruinart is a Brut Champagne made by one of the best-known names in the region. The Maison Ruinart was founded back in 1729 and is the oldest in existence. Even today, it has managed to maintain its charm, thanks to a tradition handed down for centuries. Its Champagnes represent the excellence of the terroir and are undisputed symbols of elegance and balance. Vineyards are located in various parts of the region, with Pinot Noir coming from the Montagne de Reims area and Chardonnay mainly from the Côte des Blancs. Adding to the quality grapes is an ancient artisanal savoir-faire, which guides the creation of the cuvées of extraordinary expressive richness. The Maison can count on historic caves dug into the chalk, where wines being aged rest in the dark and under ideal humidity and temperature conditions. Thus are born unforgettable Champagnes, which have now become part of the small circle of must-have bottles.

Maison Ruinart's Brut "R" Magnum is a Champagne that manages to combine richness and complexity with tension and freshness. Thanks to a perfect blend of excellent quality grapes, it expresses remarkable balance and elegance. The Maison in Reims can count on a vineyard park of absolute level, and after careful selection, the grapes are sent for soft pressing and subsequent white vinification. At the end of the creation of the final cuvée, the wine re-ferments in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method with a rest of at least 36 months before dégorgement. In the glass, it is yellow in colour with brilliant golden reflections, characterized by a perlage that is very fine and persistent. The olfactory profile recalls floral scents, aromas of white fruit, hints of bread crust, hints of pastry, notes of dried fruit and toasted memories. The palate is rich and intense, with a deep and persistent mouthfeel, closing on fresh and savoury notes. For structure and complexity, it is a perfect Champagne to enjoy throughout a meal.
