CHARDONNAY 'PIETRABIANCA' TORMARESCA-ANTINORI 2023 DESCRIPTION

Chardonnay Pietrabianca is a wine with intriguing fruity and mineral scents, smooth and enveloping, a symbol of the excellent and constant quality achieved today by the Apulian winery Tormaresca, owned by Marchesi Antinori. A production reality precisely coordinated by the Tuscan family with the precious contribution of the two oenologists Renzo Cotarella and Davide Sarcinella, able to make the most of the high viticultural potential of the Apulian terroir of Castel del Monte.

The Chardonnay grapes used to make Pietrabianca are grown on the Bocca di Lupo estate, a splendid example of an ancient masseria surrounded by 30 hectares of vineyards set on tuffaceous soils, all conducted under a certified organic regime. The constant attention given by Tormaresca in the vineyard and cellar has allowed it to excel more and more in the Apulian and national wine scene, resulting in labels that are unique in terms of aroma and taste. In this case, alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation take place in new French and Hungarian oak barrels, where the wine remains to age on the fine lees for a few months.

Tormaresca Pietrabianca Chardonnay has a beautiful structure and rich personality, already clearly visible from its bright straw color and beautiful texture. The nose releases Mediterranean and vaguely exotic effluvia, with notes of yellow fruit, citrus and flowers in evidence, enriched by toasted, honey and vanilla nuances. The sip is soft, warm, velvety and enveloping, supported by a balanced freshness and enriched by fruity and delicately spicy aromas that slowly unravel into a long persistence. In short, an Apulian white with a thousand facets, capable of delivering satisfying emotions and accompanying convivial moments with impeccable grace.
