CHARDONNAY 'TESADRO' AGRICOLA MOS 2023 DESCRIPTION

The artisanal winery Agricola Mos introduces the Chardonnay 'Tesadro', an elegant and balanced expression designed as a white wine suitable for long ageing. At the foundation of the young Agricola Mos winemaking project, launched with the 2018 harvest in Lisignago, Trentino is the passion of cousins Luca Moser and Federico Ferretti. The two partners cultivate less than a hectare of vineyards in the Valle di Cembra, formed by hills characterised by steep slopes that have imposed the construction of terraces supported by dry-stone walls, constituting one of the cases of heroic viticulture in our peninsula. The appellation 'Tesadro' comes from the nickname of Federico Ferretti's family.

Agricola Mos 'Tesadro' Chardonnay is an expression of the white berry variety of the same name of Burgundian origin grown on a simple Trentino pergola. The vines between 20 and 50 years old are planted on porphyry soils at an altitude of 520 metres above sea level with south-eastern exposure. The grapes are harvested by hand at big once at the end of September, seeking a balance between sugars and acidity, with the bunches being gently pressed before they must undergo alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Afterwards, the mass is racked into new and used barriques where complete malolactic fermentation takes place, and maturation takes place for a few months before bottling and final marketing.

Agricola Mos's 'Tesadro' Chardonnay possesses an intense, brilliant straw yellow colour. The nose offers persuasive aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, honey and vanilla, enriched by buttery and floral notes. Full and enveloping the taste, well balanced by the remarkable freshness and long savoury trail on the finish.
