Vie di Romans Chardonnay is marked by an unmistakable personality: by 1978 the company managed by Gianfranco Gallo, in fact, embarked on a turning point, making strict and sometimes daring viticultural choices, able to establish a qualitative style of extremely high profile. Since the first bottling, occurred in that year, Vie di Romans has made a dramatic progress, with a progressive cycle of vineyard modernization, the construction of the new cellar, the vinification of the grapes distinct for cru of origin and the choice of putting on market the white wines only after two years from harvest. In particular, the care of the precious diversity factors of each vineyard has allowed Vie di Romans to investigate the particular interaction between grape and terroir which naturally occurs over time. The vineyards owned by the company Vie di Romans are based on a very fertile and well drained soil, characterized by typical colluvi clays formed by erosion from the surface of the moraine slopes: in this extraordinary region, midway between the sea and the foothills of the Alps, was born Chardonnay Vie di Romans, produced in Mariano del Friuli. Intense and fresh, with good alcohol content, this Chardonnay has high potential for aging, with a peak of development which amount to 8 years of age.
