Isabel Ferrando's Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge is a French red wine from a historic and prestigious area, famous for its typical clay soils covered by 'galets roulés', the iconic round stones of the appellation. As typical, it is a skilful blend: Grenache for structure and sensuality, Mourvèdre for persistence, Cinsault for finesse and then Syrah for colour. On the nose, hints of cherries and strawberries are evident, then tertiary hints of leather and tobacco open up to notes of cocoa. The attack in the mouth is warm and decisive, the slightly bitter finish refreshes and gives great pleasantness
Intense ruby red
