The Chianti Rufina Riserva by I Veroni is a great Tuscan red wine that is capable of surprising for personality, character and elegance. I Veroni is a history cellar of the Florentine hills; born at the end of 1500, still has the historical Fermentation of musts . A history and a tradition that has been passed down to today: I Veroni extends into the territory of Chianti Rufina, one of the smaller sub-zones of Chianti, in an area of 70 hectares, 20 of which are intended for the production of wine and the remaining 50 to olive grove. The winery is located in the historical site of the farm and still occupies the local historians who already in 1809 were used for making wine. In this historical context, from Sangiovese grapes grown between 250 and 280 meters above sea level and facing South, South-West, comes this Chianti Rufina Riserva; the temperature-controlled fermentation lasts for 25 days and takes place in concrete vats; the juice then passes wood performing malolactic fermentation to soften, then more refined for 18 months in French oak barrels of 500 liters and 12 months in bottle. The Chianti Rufina Riserva by I Veroni has a beautiful purple color bright, intense and clear and looks attractive on the nose with hints of fruit blacks, ripe red fruit and a finish that, with aging, evolving towards spicy aromas and notes of tobacco. We are faced with a Chianti Rufina Riserva with a great structure, full, velvety and dense with a nice aftertaste.
