The Cotes du Jura Savagnin 'Montferrand' by Anne et Jean Francois Ganevat is a pure Savagnin from the Jura region of France. An oenological masterpiece, this white wine is characterised by an unforgettable freshness and persistence and is pervaded by aromas of nuts and hazelnuts, hints of white fruit and savoury hints. COTES DU JURA SAVAGNIN 'MONTFERRAND' ANNE ET JEAN FRANCOIS GANEVAT 2019 DESCRIPTION

The Savagnin Cotes du Jura 'Montferrand' from the iconic French artisan Anne et Jean-François Ganevat is a ouille style Jura white wine capable of overwhelming the senses with its elegant depth of expression. Domaine Ganevat has greatly contributed to enhancing the wine image of the small Jura region in the eyes of wine enthusiasts worldwide. Today, the labels of Anne and Jean-François, the authors of a limited but very varied production, are sought after all over the world, establishing themselves as musts in the universe of artisanal wines.

Savagnin Anne et Jean-Francois Ganevat 'Montferrand' is made from only Savagnin grapes from very old vineyards planted on grey marl and iridescent marl soils. The grapes, cultivated according to the dictates of organic and biodynamic agriculture, are harvested strictly by hand and then immediately transferred to the cellar where they are vinified according to a minimalist approach. With this in mind, alcoholic fermentation is entrusted solely to indigenous yeasts, without the use of any additives or oenological aids and without pellicular maceration. Both vinification and ageing of over 30 months take place in wooden vats and final bottling is carried out without prior filtration or clarification and with no or minimal sulphur additions.

In the goblet, Anne and Jean-François Ganevat's 'Montferrand' Savagnin Cotes du Jura expresses a deep straw yellow colour with brilliant golden hues. The broad nose unfolds on fascinating notes of pear, peach, apricot, candied citrus, lemon cream, sage, acacia honey, flint, salt crystals, hazelnut and almond. The taste, dry and intense, is defined by incisive freshness and marked savoury-mineral timbre, elements that come together in a harmonious and persistent finish.
