The Custoza Superiore "Ca' del Magro" by Monte del Frà is a white wine from the extraordinary quality/price ratio. We are on the famous hill of Custoza above Lake Garda and just 15 km from the center of Verona. Here, in 1958, begins the history of the farm Monte del Frà, a story that has brought the company of family Bonomo to be one of the largest and most important companies in the Veneto. The production is cutting edge and the quality of the work are their distinctive; all activities are carefully controlled to ensure the perfect preservation of the primary characters of the grape and get well perfect wines. The Custoza Superiore "Ca' del Magro" was born in the homonymous vineyard of approximately 7 acres and more than 40 years, located on the hills of Custoza, at an altitude of 100-150 meters above sea level, the hill of glacial origin, with ground limestone, clay, gravel and sand. The perfect balance of Custoza from the different vineyards, among which we find the Garganega, Tuscan Trebbiano, Chardonnay, Cortese and the Incrocio Manzoni. After the harvest, which occurs between the first week of September and the first week of October, the juice is aged on the lees in oak barrels for about 4 months. A process honed over the years that gives this wine a fine workmanship: the nose open with wildflowers and Golden Delicious apple, while on the palate the flavor is dry and fruity with a pleasant olfactory persistence. A white Custoza Superiore that the family Bonomo particularly recommend with the duck glazed... What can say, a white wine of the highest quality and definitely worth trying.
