The Etna Bianco 'Scalunera' from Torre Mora takes its name from the natural staircase on which the vineyard is located, where Carricante grapes are grown at a great altitude on the slopes of Etna. This is a white wine with structure but also very fresh, an immediate expression of character produced in steel. On the nose, notes of white fruit and Mediterranean scrub are immediately evident. The palate reveals a lively sip and a distinct minerality, a good persistence of iodine hints reminiscent of a sea breeze. Perfect companion for seafood and pasta with fish sauce

The Sicilian-Tuscan Torre Mora - Piccini reality introduces Etna Bianco 'Scalunera', a pure Carricante that emerges for its evocative mineral timbre, halfway between the flint notes of the volcano and the iodine tones of the sea. Carricante is Etna's white variety par excellence, appreciated since ancient times for its abundant production. In fact, the name Carricante derives from the Sicilian expression 'u carricanti', a reference to the plant's ability to 'load' bunches of grapes. Today, with a view to quality, agronomic techniques are aimed at containing the considerable productivity of this vine, allowing the grapes to reach perfect ripeness at all times.
Torre Mora - Piccini's 'Scalunera' Etna Bianco is a 100% Carricante from vines grown in a certified organic system on volcanic soils, which are shallow and particularly rich in minerals. The vines also benefit from the high altitude, close to 700 metres above sea level, as well as the high temperature range between day and night that characterises the area. In the cellar, the grapes undergo a gentle pressing, followed by alcoholic fermentation of the must in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Also in stainless steel, the maturing phase of a few months takes place on the yeasts, in order to enrich the body and softness of the wine.
The Etna Bianco Torre Mora - Piccini 'Scalunera' has a pale straw yellow hue. The aromatic profile is delineated by pleasant and intense sensations of green apple and lemon peel, combined with hints of aromatic herbs such as thyme and strong marine mineral accents. The palate stands out for its decisive freshness and savouriness, elements that enhance the lively mineral persistence of this wine.
