DBE - Tenuta Solisciaro's Etna Rosato is a single-varietal rosé from Nerello Mascalese grapes that originates on the northern slope of the Sicilian volcano. This wine is elegant and light yet fresh and lively, capable of astounding with its extremely fruity notes of cherry, strawberry and small berries. After a 48-hour maceration period, this Etna Rosato matures for six months in stainless steel tanks and, once the bottle is opened, we recommend pairing it with a fish or seasonal vegetable dish
The Etna Rosato DBE – Tenuta Solisciaro from the renowned Sicilian winery De Bartoli represents a delightful pink interpretation of Nerello Mascalese grown on the slopes of Mount Etna. The DBE project is one of the latest ventures by De Bartoli, as the family, known for producing some of the most iconic wines in western Sicily, has decided to embark on this adventure on the opposite side of the island, in the Etna region, one of the most fashionable wine areas in modern times. The name “DBE” stands for “De Bartoli Etna.”
Tenuta Solisciaro – DBE Etna Rosato De Bartoli is made solely from Nerello Mascalese grapes cultivated on the northern slope of Etna, on volcanic sandy soils at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level and facing south. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately transported to the winery, where they are vinified into rosé through a 48-hour skin maceration and alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, all under controlled temperature to enhance the aromas of the finished wine. During fermentation, periodic pump-overs are conducted, and the subsequent maturation phase, lasting 6 months, also takes place in steel containers. Finally, after a brief rest in the bottle, the wine is ready for market release.
The color of Etna Rosato De Bartoli DBE – Tenuta Solisciaro is a light pink with subtle amber reflections. Tempting aromas of cherry jam, ripe strawberry, berries, and Mediterranean herbs define the olfactory profile, accompanied by faint earthy notes. On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, with a refined savory-mineral streak that complements the red fruit sensations in the finish.
