The Falanghina from the Antico Castello winery is a deeply territorial white wine, characterized by elegant freshness. On the palate it is smooth and balanced, the marked acidity is well balanced by a savory streak that envelops the palate on the long, lingering finish. On the nose, notes of green apple and almond are accompanied by pleasant herbaceous and saline hints, building a fine and delicate aromatic profile. An ideal wine to accompany fish-based first and second courses!

Campania's Antico Castello winery presents Falanghina 'Demetra', a refreshing and balanced wine with a vibrant mineral vein. The appellation 'Demeter' is a tribute to the eponymous deity of the Greek religion, daughter of Cronus and Rhea, whose name means 'mother earth'. Demeter is, in fact, the protector of nature, agriculture and harvests. Instead, the winery's name is a tribute to an ancient feudal building in the San Mango sul Calore area, unfortunately, devastated by the 1980 earthquake.
Antico Castello's Falanghina 'Demetra' is a 100% Falanghina from vines located in Fontana del Bosco, in the heart of Irpinia, 350 metres above sea level. The rows, trained by the Guyot method, are planted on clay soil with northwest and southeast exposure. Harvesting is usually carried out by hand in the first ten days of October, and the grapes are then subjected to soft crushing and a few hours of pre-fermentation skin maceration before gentle pressing. At this point, the must undergo alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. In the same type of wine container, the liquid matures for approximately 6 months on the fine lees and, after a further brief refinement in the bottle, is ready for release.
The 'Demetra' Antico Castello Falanghina has a straw-yellow hue with brilliant greenish highlights. Hints of green apple, lemon peel and almond describe the bouquet, joined by herbaceous and saline hints at the end. Fresh and balanced on the palate, characterised by good acidity and a persistent savoury and mineral vein on the finish. By virtue of its lively freshness and pleasant mineral timbre, this Falanghina is an ideal accompaniment to seafood dishes or assorted fried foods.
