The Fleurie "Fleurs des Champs" of Les Vins de Vicky is a red wine artisanal from the ecological, lively and playful line of Chateau des Moriers. It is a fresh, fruity and fragrant Gamay, but also has a few years under its belt and is complex. On the nose there are aromas of intense red fruits and flowers, while the sip is silky, fluid and with good warmth. A wine that goes well with fine and aromatic meat dishes, such as roast guinea fowl.

FLEURIE 'FLEURS DES CHAMPS' LES VINS DE VICKY 2022 DESCRIPTION

The Fleurie "Fleurs des Champs" Les Vins de Vicky, produced by Château des Moriers, is the pure expression of one of the most famous and highly rated areas in the Beaujolais region, which has always been appreciated by wine lovers for its refined bouquet characterised by delicate floral notes, which not surprisingly give the terroir its name. Its elegant and harmonious profile allows one to appreciate the fragrance and fruity freshness of Gamay, a grape variety that is proving to possess very interesting qualities. Careful work in the vineyard and an artisanal approach in the cellar result in a wine that is very pleasant to taste, even when young, in order to appreciate the exuberance of its aromas, the frank and direct expression of a clear and satisfying sip.

'Fleurs des Champs' is a Fleurie from the Les Vins de Vicky brand of Château des Moriers, a Beaujolais estate that has been cultivating vines and producing wines in this famous French region for over a century. The domaine has retained a very typical territorial character, with a faithful approach to the best local customs. Today, it manages some 9 hectares of vineyards, divided into many small plots, located in the two crus of Fleurie and Moulin-à-Vent. Between the rows, all chemical products have been banned, and organic farming practices are followed, using only sulphur and copper. The cuvée is made from grapes from different plots located in the Fleurie area. After the harvest, spontaneous fermentation takes place using only indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures for several months in cement vats to preserve the varietal profile intact.

The red Fleurie "Fleurs des Champs" Les Vins de Vicky is an interesting label from Château des Moriers, which allows one to get to know and appreciate the characteristics of the Gamay of this particular terroir, capable of giving wines of extraordinary expressive finesse. To the eye, it has a bright ruby red colour. The olfactory profile is characterised by delicate floral aromas of violets and aromatic herbs, accompanied by fragrant aromas of morello cherries, redcurrants, wild strawberries and subtle hints of spice. The entry on the palate is suave and harmonious, with a velvety, fine tannic texture that envelops a crisp, rich fruit. The finish is fresh and pleasantly fruity.
