Berlucchi Extra Brut 61 is a Franciacorta that reconfirms the excellence of this iconic brand of Italian sparkling wine. Since the 1960s, the Berlucchi winery has established itself as a point of reference in the Franciacorta territory, making a decisive contribution to the affirmation of this Lombardy appellation. The cuvée is made with a majority percentage of Chardonnay, in perfect coherence with the tradition of the territory, supplemented by a balance of Pinot Noir. The grapes come from a selection of the estate's most suitable plots, located in no fewer than 19 communes of Franciacorta. At the end of the harvest, vinification is carried out separately for each vine and vineyard. The grapes are soft-pressed and the free-run juice is fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks. After several months of ageing, the basic vintage wines are blended, to which 20% of reserve wines are added. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico, with a rest on the lees for at least 24 months.

Berlucchi Extra Brut 61 is a Franciacorta of remarkable expressive finesse and clear, vertical character. To the eye it has a brilliant light yellow colour, crossed by a luminous, delicate and persistent perlage. The bouquet is refined and elegant, with aromas of white flowers, orange blossom, fragrances of citrus peel, aromas of white-fleshed fruit, hints of bread crust, nuances of pain brioche and small pastries, almonds and dried fruit.
