Franciacorta Extra Brut 'Assemblage 1' is a fine bubbly that embodies the essence of Bellavista's winemaking heritage. Derived from a selection of more than 60 vineyards, it stands out for its balanced and refined structure, with a dynamic freshness enriched by delicate floral notes, hints of pastry and fresh citrus fruits. A Magnum to celebrate great events!
The Franciacorta 'Magnum Alma Assemblage 1' Extra Brut from the renowned Lombardy winery Bellavista bears witness to the elegant and ever-balanced touch of the house's sparkling wines, witnessing a fascinating new chapter in Bellavista's history. In fact, the 'Alma Assemblage 1' collection, composed of three different labels, was released in 2024, following up an ambitious project born in 1977 "with the aim of seeking the pure essence of harmony". The number 1 underlines the fact that each vintage is a new beginning, something unique and unrepeatable, which needs to be listened to and then interpreted by the winery.
Magnum Extra Brut Franciacorta Bellavista 'Alma Assemblage 1' is made from a solid base of Chardonnay grapes (86%), combined with 13% Pinot Noir and 1% Pinot Blanc. The grapes, harvested entirely by hand using small crates, come from countless plots scattered throughout the territory, with vines averaging almost 30 years of age. Approximately 30% of the vintage wine is matured in small oak barrels, and a certain percentage of reserve wine from previous vintages is also used in the preparation of the sparkling wine base. Foaming takes place in the bottle in accordance with the Metodo Classico, combined with at least 30 months of maturation on the lees before disgorging and final dosage as Extra Brut, with 3.5 g/l residual sugar.
On visual inspection, Bellavista's Franciacorta Magnum Extra Brut 'Alma Assemblage 1' exhibits a luminous straw-yellow guise with a fine and persistent effervescence. The complex aromatic bouquet is defined by sensations of citrus fruits, flowers and aromatic herbs, enhanced by nuances of bakery and baked goods. Creamy and elegant on the palate, characterised at the same time by a progression of great dynamism and tension resting on a balanced mineral finish. A great format that immediately calls for great toasts!
