The Franciacorta Extra Brut 'Cuvée Prestige Edizione 47' Ca' del Bosco Magnum is a fresh and lively Franciacorta Extra Brut with great aromatic pleasantness, aged for about 25 months on the lees in the bottle. Fruity scents of peach, flowers, citrus fruits blend with notes of bread and toasted almonds: a symbol of Franciacorta!
Ca' del Bosco's Franciacorta "Cuvée Prestige 47" Magnum is a sparkling wine of reference throughout the world of bubbles. A name and a certainty: Ca' del Bosco, one of Italy's most important wineries, which with this Cuvée Prestige tells its story. It all began with Maurizio Zanella, a boy with a strong passion for wine who moved with his family to Erbusco and decided to cultivate his first vineyard. Maurizio would never have imagined that the simple vineyard was the first brick of a reality that would become a model and an example in the Italian sparkling wine world. The turning point came a few years later when Maurizio embarked on a trip to the Champagne region and, fascinated by the great bubbles, decided to dedicate his life to the creation of a sparkling wine with all the French traits. Thus was born the 'Prestige' cuvée, that helped that much hoped-for and cultivated dream come true in liquid form! It is a pearl in the style of Ca' del Bosco, a traditional bubbly wine, born of over 30 years of experience, that perfectly embodies the soul and essence of the Franciacorta land. An edition that pays homage to the history of this historic winery and encapsulates all the essence of the different terroirs of Franciacorta.
Franciacorta Cuvée Prestige "Edition 47" Magnum by Ca' del Bosco is made from the best Chardonnay grapes, with a small percentage of Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc, which come from 197 different vineyards, of which 162 are Chardonnay alone. The vines have an average age of between 19 and 29 years and are rooted on clay and limestone soil. They are vinified separately in temperature-controlled steel tanks for 8 months and then blended with the reserves of the best vintages in order to find the perfect recipe for the best Cuvée. The re-fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the principles of the Metodo Classico and the ageing on the lees lasts about 25 months, giving it a unique and rich personality. It is a fully-fledged Extra-Brut dosed with about 1.0 gram/litre of sugar.
Ca' del Bosco Franciacorta "Cuvée Prestige 47" Magnum presents itself to the eye with a prestigious, luminous straw-yellow coat, furrowed by fine, persistent bubbles. The nose delicately and progressively releases timid and fragrant hints of citrus, apple, white peach and exotic fruit, enriched by memories of pastry, echoes of dried fruit and mineral trails. The taste, lively and darting, entices the drinker by virtue of its irresistible freshness, vibrant and well dosed. The drink is therefore slender and inviting and stretches out to a pleasant fruity finish. Spend it on fresh fish starters, carpaccio, sushi and sashimi or on a seafood risotto or with courgettes and prawns. Truly freshness made into wine!
