FRANCIACORTA EXTRA BRUT LANTIERI DE PARATICO DESCRIPTION

Franciacorta Extra Brut Lantieri de Paratico is a great sparkling wine, the driest example, but without excess, from the historic Lantieri de Paratico winery, the first to have promoted the use of the classic method in Franciacorta in the 1970s.
This Franciacorta Extra Brut is made from Chardonnay grapes and a small percentage of Pinot noir, which gives structure and aromatic complexity to the cuvée. After the soft pressing of the must, fermentation takes place in steel vats and small oak barrels. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle, where the wine is slowly and naturally sparkling, thanks to prolonged contact with the yeasts.
Franciacorta Extra Brut Lantieri de Paratico has a greenish straw colour and a very fine perlage in the glass. It conquers the nose with a citrus and floral bouquet that is fresh, savoury and vibrant. The palate confirms the olfactory impressions of energy and vitality: the clean, taut attack progressively reveals snap and good dynamism, enriched by aromas of bread baking (grilled bread) and fruit. It is savoury and crisp, fresh and very pleasant, well structured. This is a great sparkling wine, very enjoyable both as an aperitif and as an accompaniment to delicate fish or vegetable dishes.
