The Franciacorta "Milledi" is a sparkling wine that embodies, with classicism and elegance, the pure Franciacorta style: notes of citrus, fruit, white flowers and bread crust alternate in a beautiful and fresh aromatic complexity. It comes from an aging of 36 months on yeasts
The Milledì by Ferghettina stems from the company to produce a vintage Brut, strongly characterized from the point of view of the unmistakable style of Franciacorta. Net by its attraction floral smell and mineral hints on the palate, the Milledì port field in a revolution typological, given by the choice of use of a bottle of square section, not for aesthetic purposes but for precise technological purposes. The original idea was to improve the performance of second fermentation in the bottle, allowing the yeast to work at its best in order to further characterize, in terms of aroma, this product of the terroir of Franciacorta. After a clever study by Roberto Gatti, owner, along with his son Matthew, it was decided to bottle the Milledì in this new form of container which, thanks to its flat side of the base, would allow the yeasts to be arranged on a much larger surface area of the cylindrical bottom of a bottle classical and proceeding to a second fermentation much more efficient from the point of view of quality (with an enhanced production of mannoproteins, which are essential for the developments of aromatic wines obtained with classic method). This is why the Milledì is a product that, in the wake of the traditional style of Feghettina, unfolds an important change, which can be best appreciated in the course of evolution of this wine.
