The Franciacorta "Naturae" is a crisp, taut and upright unmetered sparkling wine aged on lees for 30 months. The aromas are delicate and floral, with notes of citrus and herbs. The sip is fresh, dry and rigorous, with great precision
Barone Pizzini's Franciacorta Brut Nature "Naturae" is an enthralling and dynamic sparkling wine. A liquid blend of a careful selection of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from different vineyards rooted on morainic hillside soils, enriched by fluvio-glacial deposition, especially the one located at Pian delle Viti, one among the highest in the area, gives structure to the sparkling wine thanks to the limestone soil on which it stands.
The vinification phase involves a soft pressing of the grapes, alcoholic fermentation in steel, and finally, a 6-month rest in steel and barrique for the two different blends. Once assembled in its final guise, refermentation in the bottle, according to the Metodo Classico, takes place. Ageing involves a period of rest on the lees for 30-40 months. At disgorgement no, no dosage takes place, only the last residual sugars remain. Naturae.
Franciacorta Brut Nature "Naturae" to the eye is straw yellow with golden reflections, marked by a very fine sinuous perlage. On the nose, intriguing floral notes of almost aromatic herbs and citrus nuances are interspersed, over time, with toasted veils and fragrant references. The palate is fresh, carbonic, well integrated into the sip, savoury tension, austere and with a warming finish. Salty sip, credit to the limestone soils, and beautifully structured.
