FRANCIACORTA NATURE FRECCIANERA 2019 DESCRIPTION

Franciacorta Nature Millesimato Freccianera is a bubbly with a dry and pure taste, elaborated excluding any dosage of sugar, respecting the character of the vines and the terroir. Among the factors that contribute to determining the aromatic fragrance and freshness of Freccianera sparkling wines, an important role is to be attributed to the characteristic climate of the Franciacorta territory, a climate that is at times sub-alpine and at times Mediterranean, influenced by the winter thermoregulation of nearby Lake Iseo and the summer breezes coming from the Upper Camonica Valley.

The Freccianera Millesimato Franciacorta Nature comes from a blend of Chardonnay (85%) and Pinot Noir (15%) grapes grown in the family-owned vineyards located in the territories of Borgonato di Corte Franca, Torbiato di Adro and Provaglio d'Iseo. In particular, the vineyards are located on calcareous-sandy soils of morainic origin at an altitude of 250 metres above sea level, with a south to south-east exposure. Harvesting is carried out entirely by hand in boxes and the bunches are then softly pressed whole using pneumatic presses. Natural cold sedimentation of the must follows, followed by alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The sparkling wine base then matures on the fine lees until drawing, which is carried out in the spring following the harvest according to the Metodo Classico technique. After 30 months of refinement on the lees in the bottle, disgorging and subsequent non-dosage takes place as Brut Nature.

Franciacorta Nature Freccianera Millesimato has a straw-yellow colour with golden reflections and fine effervescence. The nose is richly floral, composed of notes of white flowers and candied citrus fruits that meet delicate spicy hints. The taste is dry, taut and lively, not without a certain softness, with a dynamic finish in which a strong mineral tone emerges.
