FRANCIACORTA NATURE ENRICO GATTI DESCRIPTION

Enrico Gatti's Franciacorta Nature is a Metodo Classico of rare purity and elegance. It is a refined expression of the best Franciacorta tradition, declined rigorously and essentially. It is a cuvée based on Chardonnay with a small percentage of Pinot Noir, which conquers the most demanding palates with an expressive cleanliness capable of bringing the grapes to the forefront in their fullness and integrity. Aged for 24 months on yeasts, it preserves the elegant floral and fruity fragrance of the Chardonnay, combined with the structure of the Pinot Noir. The sip is taut and firm, deep and dry, as one would ask of a great Pas Dosé.

Enrico Gatti's Nature is a Franciacorta that originates in the hilly area of Erbusco. The estate covers a total of about 20 hectares of vines, divided into several parcels, with vines that have an average age of around 20 years. The gentle exposures of the moraine hills and the sunny climate, always mitigated by nearby Lake Iseo, create the perfect conditions for bringing the grapes to full maturity. The winery was founded in the early 1970s and today is particularly appealing to enthusiasts looking for sincere, direct wines that can express the characteristics of the terroir without mediation or elaboration in the cellar. In Gatti's Metodo Classico, it is the vineyard that speaks, and the grape is the sole protagonist of the sip.

Enrico Gatti's Metodo Classico Nature is a Franciacorta dedicated to lovers of zero dosage who prefer straight and vertical sparkling wines with no concession to persuasive softness. After soft pressing, the grapes are vinified separately in temperature-controlled steel tanks. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico with a stay sur lattes of at least 24 months. In the glass, it has a brilliant straw-yellow colour, with a fine and continuous perlage. The olfactory profile reveals aromas of white fruit, floral scents, hints of exotic fruit, notes of bread crust and slight, toasted and dried fruit nuances. The sip is energetic and lively, with a savoury, linear mouthfeel that races toward a finish of intense freshness.
