FRANCIACORTA ROSÉ BRUT FERGHETTINA 2020 DESCRIPTION

Franciacorta Brut Rosé from the Lombard winery Ferghettina is bubbly and capable of combining structure and gustatory agility, made from only Pinot Noir grapes. The clusters are vinified through the Marmonier vertical press, an ancient oenological machine used for pressing that respects the intrinsic characteristics of the berries as much as possible. In fact, the pressure applied by the press is quite gentle, which allows the skins not to be crushed, thus extracting only the noblest substances.

Ferghettina Franciacorta Rosé Brut is a 100% Pinot Noir from 14 different vineyards spread over 4 communes in the Franciacorta area, located at an altitude of about 250 meters. Harvesting is done by hand, usually in mid-August, in order to preserve the natural organic acid endowment of the grapes, which are then vinified whole cluster through the Marmonier press. The flower must alone be extracted from the soft pressing is placed in stainless steel tanks for temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation, followed by a few months of maturation, also in stainless steel. In the spring, the base wine is then bottled, and the draught syrup is added for frothing, according to the Metodo Classico, with at least 36 months of ageing on the lees in the glass. Once the sur lie period is over, disgorgement and Brut dosage are finally carried out.

Rosé Franciacorta Brut Ferghettina's Rosé Franciacorta Brut is pale pink in colour with brilliant reflections, with subtle and persistent effervescence. Delicate hints of bread crust, wild strawberries, wild berries and almonds are perceived on the nose, while in the mouth, it is direct, clean and elegant, with good structure and lively freshness. The epilogue brings with it pleasant, savoury, and fruity sensations.
