FRANCIACORTA ROSÉ BRUT 'FLAMINGO' MONTE ROSSA DESCRIPTION

Monte Rossa's Franciacorta Rosé Brut "Flamingo" is an elegant and refined Metodo Classico made from a cuvée of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, grown on the rolling moraine hills of Franciacorta southeast of Lake Iseo. The predominant presence of Chardonnay gives the label a floral face and a very pleasant expressive finesse. It is a wine with a subtle bouquet, a fragrant and fruity sip, well supported by a clear freshness. Dynamic and harmonious, it pairs very well with a board of sliced meats from the territory or with shellfish.

Brut "Flamingo" is a Franciacorta Rosé that well expresses the classic style of one of the wineries that made the history of Franciacorta. Monte Rossa cultivates more than 70 hectares of vineyards divided into many parcels, which are located in the territory of various towns in Franciacorta. A variety of exposures and soils allows for maximum choice when creating the cuvées. The Metodo Classico of Monterossa is distinguished by a particularly harmonious face, many base wines mature in oak barrels, and for the sans année, percentages of reserve wines are used in the blends to give the taste balance and preserve a certain continuity over time, regardless of the climatic trend of the vintage.

Monte Rossa winery's Rosé Brut "Flamingo" is a Franciacorta made from a selection of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes grown in 12 different crus on the moraine hills of Bornato, Brescia, Cellatica, Erbusco, Monterotondo, Provaglio, Provezze, Cologne, Passirano and Adro. The crus are vinified separately, partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in barriques. At the end of the ageing period of the base wines, the final cuvée is created with 85% vintage wines and 15% reserve wines. Secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico, with a 24-month rest on the lees. It has a soft pink colour, crossed by a very fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet recalls scents of white flowers, citrus aromas, small red berries, raspberry, currant, and wild strawberries. The sip is intense and harmonious, with a savoury finish and lively freshness.
