The Gattorosso from the Sàgona wine cellar is a juicy, fresh, medium-bodied red wine: an immediate and pleasant expression of Sangiovese and other indigenous Tuscan vines from the Pratomagno area in the high hills of Arezzo. Hints of fresh cherries, berries and a subtle spiciness enrich a harmonious, pleasant, fresh and fruity, slightly rustic sip

The Gattorosso from the Sàgona winery is a young, fresh wine that expresses a pleasant fruity exuberance and an immediate taste fragrance. It is a medium-bodied red, made from an important Sangiovese base, to which are added other red grapes traditionally grown in Tuscany: Malvasia Nera, Colorino, Ciliegiolo and Canaiolo. The decision to use only cement and steel vinification allows the varietal characters of the grapes in their vital and immediate expressive vivacity to come to the fore. It is a wine of great fluidity and pleasantness to drink, particularly ductile in table pairings with the tasty dishes of classic local cuisine.
Gattorosso wine is a label with an artisanal profile, born on a small farm in the Arezzo area. The Sàgona estate is located in Pratomagno, in a beautiful and wild hilly area at an altitude of 500 metres above sea level. Daniele Corrotti runs a small farm with 4 hectares of vines divided into small plots and an osteria with agritourism. It is a family business that still works with a peasant spirit and an artisanal approach to the world of wine. The vineyards are conducted with the utmost respect for the unspoilt environment, following the principles of organic farming. Cellar practices are reduced to a minimum to favour the direct expression of the best varietal characteristics of the grapes.
The red Gattorosso from the Tuscan winery Sàgona is the modern version of the genuine everyday wine of the past. The easy and very pleasant sip takes you back to sensations of the past, to wines that favoured a straightforward and fruity character. Fermentation takes place separately for each grape variety in cement or steel vats, using only indigenous yeasts and with a maceration period on the skins of around 20 days. The wine then matures for 10 months in cement and steel tanks before being bottled. In the glass it has a brilliant ruby red colour. The nose expresses fragrant aromas of cherry, ripe red fruit, herbs and spicy nuances. The palate is juicy and crisp, with ripe, rich fruit, wine tannins and a pleasantly fresh finish.
