Box Verdicchio Jesi Classico Riserva 'Salmariano' Marotti Campi

The Gift Box is composed of three bottles of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva 'Salmariano' by Marotti Campi, one of the flagship labels of this famous, family-owned winery based near the characteristic Marche village of Morro d'Alba, in the province of Ancona. This is a historic estate in the area, founded in the mid-19th century, which through the succession of generations has managed to preserve a typically family character. Today, it is Lorenzo Marotti Campi who manages an estate of more than 150 hectares, of which fifty are dedicated to viticulture. The vineyards are located in the first hinterland of the Adriatic coast, on splendid sunny exposures, which enjoy a constantly breezy climate thanks to the constant presence of sea breezes.

The Gift Box Marotti Campi Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva 'Salmariano' is one of the best labels of the famous Marche Region denomination. It comes from a selection of the best vineyards on the estate, located at an altitude of about 180 metres above sea level, facing north-west. The soils are of medium texture, with a predominantly clayey matrix, very suitable for viticulture. Harvesting takes place in mid-October, when the grapes are slightly overripe, in order to obtain greater aromatic concentration. After soft pressing, the must ferments in steel vats at a temperature of 15 C°. The wine is matured for 12 months in steel vats, except for 20% which is aged in French oak barrels. Bright light yellow in colour, it expresses floral aromas, fruity aromas and delicate nuances of vanilla. The flavour is rich, intense and characterised by a fresh, savoury finish.

The Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva 'Salmariano' by Marotti Campi is offered in the Gift Box version in an elegant wooden box, ideal for a gift dedicated to lovers of great whites. The wine, already enjoyable when young, has considerable ageing potential. The three bottles of the same vintage are perfect for a dinner with numerous diners, but also allow the wine to be tasted at different times, so that the aromatic evolution of the wine can be appreciated. As the years go by, the wine will become richer and richer in tertiary notes, which will enhance its bouquet and increase its appeal.
