GIN CAORUNN BALMENACH DESCRIPTION

The Caorunn Balmenach Distillery is a Scottish gin, of very limited production, infusion so obtained five plants typical of the Celtic tradition. Is produced at Balmenach Distillery in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. The distillery is located at the heart of the Cairngorm National Park and the hills of Cromdale, located behind the distillery, provide a source of pure water, ideal for the production of distillates. Over the last two centuries, the art of distilling has been passed down from father to son, so that the production of whiskey still keeps the tradition alive. One of the distillers, Simon Buley, being a fan of gin, he wanted to try to engage in the production of a true gin distillery in the Scottish malt whiskey. At the base is the use of water and pure spring plants growing in the surrounding hills. Simon, became the master gin, began to use a round chamber with copper structure, built in 1920, to produce the Caorunn Gin in small amounts so as to ensure high quality. Through a slow process, the vapors of the distillate base, made from pure wheat, meet botanicals chosen pulling gently aromatic oils and perfumes, and then finish in the condenser. The flavored spirit that is obtained has a considerable degree of complexity and elegance. A gin and dry naturally balanced; transparent, pure as the water of the Scottish Highlands. The nose is fresh, floral, citrusy, slightly spicy and aromatic. The mouth is wide and persistent, refreshing and finely dry.
