Grappa Riserva 'La Visione di Luigi' from the Francoli distillery is an intense grappa made from the distillation of pomace from indigenous Piedmontese grapes. The distillate matures for a long time in Slavonian oak vats and a shorter passage in small Limousin oak barrels. On the nose, notes of vanilla and caramel blend with hints of tobacco and cocoa. On the palate it is warm and enveloping, with a velvety texture and notes of sultanas emerging in a round, soft and persistent sip
Piedmontese brand Luigi Francoli presents Grappa Riserva 'La Visione di Luigi', a smooth and spicy distillate made through environmentally sustainable distillation processes. For the production of this wood-aged grappa, marcs of the indigenous Piedmontese varieties Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Moscato from different territories of the region are used, each bringing its own identity and character to the distillate.
Luigi Francoli's 'La Visione di Luigi' Grappa Riserva is made from marc of the Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Moscato varieties grown in various areas of Piedmont. Distillation is carried out in an environmentally sustainable manner using steam stills, capable of enhancing the fragrances of the distillate, fuelled by the combustion of the spent marc itself in such a way as to reduce waste to a minimum. Furthermore, the ashes resulting from combustion are used as an eco-sustainable fertiliser, without therefore producing any waste, in a true circular economy. Following the same sustainable vision, the water used in the still cooling system is cleaned and reused indefinitely. Once the distillation process is complete, the grappa then undergoes a long ageing process in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by a short passage in Limousin oak barriques before final bottling.
Grappa Riserva Luigi Francoli 'La Visione di Luigi' has a dark golden yellow colour with mahogany highlights. The nose has intense hints of vanilla, caramel, tobacco and cocoa, with sweet notes of sultanas in the background. Very warm and soft the taste development, with a velvety body and a persistent and clean finish, characterised by clear spicy returns.
