Grillo 'Cavallo delle Fate' Tenuta Regaleali - Tasca d'Almerita 2023

The Grillo "Cavallo delle Fate" is a young and fresh wine but with good aromatic richness: hints of fresh fruit, citrus and wild flowers lend complexity and pleasantness to a soft, enveloping, mineral and immediate sip. A fine expression of Sicily and one of its most celebrated grape varieties

GRILLO 'CAVALLO DELLE FATE' TENUTA REGALEALI - TASCA D'ALMERITA 2023 DESCRIPTION

Grillo "Cavallo delle Fate" is a Sicilian wine distinguished by a pleasing aromatic complexity. Freshness and minerality are, in fact, combined with good structure, making this label made by Tasca d'Almerita within Tenuta Regaleali, a white wine with a friendly profile that never betrays expectations at the table, making it drink with gusto both at aperitif time and throughout the meal. Nothing beats a beautiful native presented in purity to fully enjoy the beauty of Sicily in a glass of wine.

This "Cavallo delle Fate" comes from pure Grillo grapes grown by the Tasca D'Almerita winery in the area between Sant'Anna and Piana Case Vecchie, where Tenuta Regaleali is located. We are within a deep terroir, where clay dominates, and a good percentage of limestone is also found at about 480 meters above sea level. The must, obtained from the soft pressing of grapes, ferments in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature between 16 and 18 degrees without carrying out malolactic fermentation. Also, in steel, on the yeasts, the ageing phase then takes place, which lasts 4 months, at the end of which the bottling and marketing operations are carried out.

The "Horse of Fate" Grillo announces itself to the eye with a vivid straw yellow colour, decidedly bright and luminous. Rich, complex and layered, the olfactory pathway, where notes of fresh fruit and citrus mingle with hints that veer more towards floral. On the palate, it is full-bodied and balanced, distinguished by a sip with a fresh savoury taste that encourages drinking. Excellent to consume in combination with dishes and recipes where fish, even raw, is the undisputed protagonist of the table.
