Brunello di Montalcino 'Poggio alle Mura' is produced from Sangiovese Grosso grapes from specific clones selected internally at the estate since 1982. In the cellar, fermentation takes place between steel tanks and French oak vats while for the subsequent ageing phase, which lasts at least two years, a combination of large 60 and 90-hectolitre barrels and 350-litre French oak barriques is used, reflecting the combination of modernity and tradition that has always distinguished the winery. From this skilful vinification comes a wine of great breadth and elegance, characterised by important structure and expressive richness, suitable for long ageing.
