Box 'Vittoria Nuove Espressioni' Donnafugata (2bt)

The 'Vittoria Nuove Espressioni' Box is a boxed set highlighting the famous Donnafugata winery's interpretation of the Vittoria area, an area in southeastern Sicily that can boast a purimillenial winemaking tradition. Although excellent white wines are also produced, the area is famous for its red wines made from Frappato and Nero d'Avola grapes, often combined. As a testament to the area's enological importance, Cerasuolo di Vittoria wine is still the only DOCG in all of Sicily. Here, the vineyards managed by Donnafugata turn out to be spread over three contrade: Biddine Soprana, Biddine Sottana and Isola Cavaliere, for a total of 42 hectares.

Enclosed inside Donnafugata's 'Vittoria Nuove Espressioni' Box is a bottle of Frappato 'Bell'Assai' and a bottle of Cerasuolo di Vittoria 'Floramundi,' all packaged in a charming wooden box complete with colorful illustrations. Both wines in the box come from vineyards grown at an altitude of 120-150 meters above sea level in the Vittoria district, particularly in the Acate area, on soils with a high limestone content. In the case of Frappato 'Bell'Assai' it is made only from Frappato grapes while Cerasuolo di Vittoria 'Floramundi' originates from a blend of Frappato and Nero d'Avola grapes. Both wines are then processed exclusively in stainless steel tanks, both for the fermentation phase and for the subsequent aging. These are two labels that present the fresher and more accessible face of the Vittoria terroir, endowed with irresistible scents of berries and flowers.

The Donnafugata 'Vittoria Nuove Espressioni' Box is thus a valuable box set that presents a focus on the oenological expression of the Vittoria area, all through the extroverted style typical of Donnafugata.
